Sounds as if this has been a long time coming, and it also sounds is if your landlord is a super-shady individual with that 'renovation' scheme to jack up the rent. So, what's the plan? You'll get a cheaper place in town and continue once the dust settles?

This is the cheapest place in town :y (not counting places in the middle of nowhere anyway)
The whole renovation/rent hike thing was the new owners trying to clean up the place and fix it's 1.5 star rating, so I can't really hold it against them. Our main problem is income, we've been trying to find jobs for a long time but it's hard when you can't drive (and in my case, have awful social skills).

Hope your situation is handled some way, sucks to hear. My family did food stamps for awhile and some churches offered to help pay bills before, but those are usually one time things, and we didn't know any of them.

Apparently in florida being poor generally isn't enough to get food stamps and other benefits, but atleast we have food pantries once a month :1

Here you need to either have kids, be disabled or a senior to qualify for things.

Ok very different from here then, that's our requirement pretty much that I know of. Either way hope things start looking up man
