I saw Evangelion 3.33: You Can (Not) Redo

How can "End of Evangelion" be such a great movie, but this movie be so mind-blowingly bad? Seriously...avoid. It's so bad. I mean, unless you want something to watch for a "bad movie night."
FA+

- None of the characters come out more sympathetic than before, except maybe Kaworu, though he's still a bit of an Edward Cullen. We expected Gendo to be a prick, but it may be Misato who has the least likable change.
- Large parts of the film confuse the viewer on purpose, but it comes across as labored rather than skillfully done.
- The film over-relies on an oversaturation of extreme imagery that quickly fails to impress.
- Plot and character development are painfully slow even by Evangelion's standards, but by the time they unfold, it's awkwardly exposition-heavy and you ask yourself why you were supposed to care.
- Shinji is still Shinji, which would have been relatively okay if there were other characters to like.
- Rei actually manages to have even less personality in this film than she ever had.
- Mari was one of the most likable additions to Evangelion 2.22, but in this film she's not nearly as fun.
- Kaworu is a relatively positive character, but practically all his scenes were laid on so thick as to quickly make you tired of seeing him.
In virtually every way I can compare them, "End of Evangelion" is way better. It was like EoE nailed a near-perfect rhythm, but 3.33 is excruciatingly off-beat every time it tries to do something.
TUMBLING DOOOOWN
(I'm actually really hoping its good, but the neck collar scene in 3.33 made me a pessimist lol)
