So we got the biopsy back for Dakota. Apparently its cancer.
The doctors say its either Spindle Cell Sarcoma, Fibrosarcoma, or Malignant Melonoma. All three are big bads, have poor a prognosis (afflicted dog's generally only survive a year after surgery), and are resistant to chemo.
I don't know how things could go from being so good to being so horrific.
I don't intend to give up, however. I'm now raising money for his treatment/chemo/whatever. If you can spare some, please purchase a commission: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/794301/

Oh my God, Artemis, I am so sorry. If it were within my power for Goldie and I to do something even as simple as babysitting, you know we would. I've already put up a journal, asking for people to commission you. That much, I can do. Heck, if it wasn't for the fact that work is currently making me more cuko that a swiss clock, I was seriously considering opening up, myself for commissions, just to help you out. I really care about you, that much. If you need someone to scream at, IM me. Even if I'm at work or something, leave a message and I'll be on, as soon as I can.
