Is there a Foreskin Appreciation Day? No? Let's make it 4/4!

dreamous and I have asked around and several folks seem to be unable to confirm if there is a day for something like a foreskin appreciation day. Since there doesn't seem to be one, we've decided to make a call for it and have it be April 4th, or 4/4, hence the name 4/4 For Foreskin! There's even the phonetic pronunciation of for/four/fore 4 times there, so it works even better.
Basically, it'll just be like any other day of appreciation for X subject that many furries have made rallies for (examples come to mind are Bowser Day, Flamedramon Day and Slit Day, just to name a few). So, really all there is to it is to produce any art, writing, sculpture, or whatever, that emphasises and focuses around foreskin whether it is fetishized or not. Have it be as pornographic or tasteful as you want! Just create for the sake of foreskin that puts emphasis on it!
However, please don't see this or approach this as some sort of stance or statement as pro-foreskin OR anti-circumcision. THIS IS NOT WHAT THIS IS ABOUT. It is about appreciating and loving foreskin/uncut members without any of that stigma, no matter what your stance is on that matter. Nothing more. Please do not make this about something it is not! Thank you.
I think dreamous and I have a few creators on board for this. If you want to make something for 4/4 For Foreskin, please do so and post it on that day! Simple! If not? Also fine! :) Just appreciate what all is posted that day if you are a fan of foreskin.
I'll make another journal on that day too, and everyone can post links to their 4/4 For Foreskin submissions to it! It'll be a nice place to be able to see it all in one place. Also, it would help to have a unified tag for this appreciation day, so why not have it be a simple tag of "4444skin" to coincide with the name? Simple enough, I think.
I plan on making something too for that day, so keep an eye out.

I was cut and I have no anger or resentment towards it. Nor am I angry at my parents for doing so. My body is what it is and I'm proud of it. I saw you mentioned your friend was depressed. I would encourage him to embrace his body for what it is, flaws included :)
If you're uncut, be proud, if you're cut, also be proud!
I support Sal's idea, but no matter what there will be controversy about it. Even I feel that it will, for those lucky intact individuals, be a way for them to gloat and brag. Likewise, there will be cut guys that feel like they were cheated out of the sense of belonging and integrity. I know this isn't the intention, but it'll still happen.

it coincides with the new year but i don't think there is a Appreciates day so i say have at it.
I suppose it makes sense as a furry thing. Certainly not as a National Holiday ;) I'm ambivalent. Don't have one, kinda would've preferred to keep it (not, like, in a jar or something, I mean attached) :D

What is sorta rubbing me the wrong way are some of the comments about cut being unnatural etc (even after the journal mentioned not to).
I didn't even think this was a debate that existed.. I'm proud to be cut and have no interest in 'regrowing' or whatever.
I'm all for having the day for the sake of fun and appreciation for the fetish, but I do share the concern that some people are going to use it for this sorta debate..

In all honesty, if someone gets butthurt over seeing someone's art focused around foreskin (porn OR tasteful), then it wasn't going to matter WHAT day it was gonna be posted on at all. They were gonna have a problem with it whenever it WAS made. So... that's really on them. I'm not making it about that heavily debated topic, they are. So I'm not gonna stop creating what is interesting and fun to me just because certain people will look WAY too far into what this is all about and blow it out of proportion. Know what I mean?
I totally get why you and Dream came up with this day. I also really enjoy the date you chose as well :P
My comment was more directed at a few of the comments above that sorta seemed to be coming from that direction, despite you mentioning not to in the journal.
I also get that by mentioning it, I'm sorta being hypocritical in bringing it up myself. But that was just my two cents,not on the day itself but on the comments :)
Honestly Sal, it was your art that got me into the idea of foreskin :P so I have to thank you for that.
Like I said, to me I'm indifferent. I like both. Dick is dick imo haha :P
