Informal Poll: Your Desktop Icons?

Curiosity, which side of your computers desktop do you keep your icons?
I notice that Windows slaps the icons automatically on the left side of screen, and yet almost every desktop wallpaper I see artists post have the main image/character on the left side, the same side where it's going to be covered up by all the icons! WTF? Am I the only one who leaves their icons left-centric or something? It's anoying having to mirror flip a wallpaper image everytime I find a good one I like.

Well, technically the only icon I have in my desktop is the trash bin, the rest are files I keep dropping while I'm working on them and them I move somewhere else when the desktop becomes too crowded.
