Adoptables? Y/N??

I've been curious about this lately, the idea of creating adoptables rather than taking on commissions for a bit.

What are you guys' thoughts? Would you be interested? What would you like to see offered?

Some people like it, I'm personally not a fan of adoptables.

Yeah, I figure it's not everyone's cup of tea. I personally don't really have an opinion one way or the other, but I thought it could be a good way to make some muns when I'm not up for taking on actual commissions.

Eggs generally have a theme, usually a color scheme, and from there you tell them what other limitations placed on them like gender/species.

I really don't see the point on adoptables. More often than not, I even feel it's a quite lazy moneygrabber (lazyer than some crazy YCH's you see sometimes)

I'd be more interested in seeing your take on new designs for charr horns, fur patterns and hair. I bet you could put those up for RP adoption somehow.

I'm not sure how that'd work, especially since that's dealing with copyrighted material. I wouldn't feel comfortable making adopts for something that wasn't really my property.

Anet isn't going to go after you or your patrons for making up new charr fursonas. Just like they don't go after the myriad of charr porn commissioned here on furaffinity. Even if the legal prospect were sound to go after artwork (and I'm not convinced it is), it would be a total waste of resources and goodwill.

The only time Anet would go after anyone for using charr is if someone put charr into a competing game.

It's not that I worry about that, it just personally wouldn't feel right to be selling just random standalone stuff relating to something that isn't my property. To me it's just different than doing commissioned or personal work on the subject.
