So it's a shoutout/extra exposure? I suppose that's fine if this is your intention, though I think most people do that anyway by crediting the owner of the character(s) in their post. Depends on if you share commissionwork of course.

I'm just talking patreon content, and my patreon is pretty much for personal art. So basically it would be a case of everyone who backed a piece at that specific tier would get a link to their gallery on fa etc.

People do it all the time, especially on Youtube, and I am kind of indifferent to it, but I can see where this could be tricky.

I think it is totally fair for artists to do it, BUT that being said, one of the cons to it is that it can...alienate some patrons where they feel left out for not being able to contribute as much, or that they feel it is unfair to have a direct link to the persons FA as it does give them exposure and sort of the ability to ride off of the artists art a little bit for their own gains simply by throwing money at it. The whole wealth buys popularity sort of deal.

I, however, think it is great for artists to recognize their supporters as a sort of public thank you for helping out especially at some of the higher tiers.



It is a very interesting line to walk, you have to weigh the pros and cons to it. I know I personally can't afford to support higher than what I do for most people I support, and I would rather support more artist than just 1 or 2 at a higher level for recognition, but that is me personally.

Inversely though if it was offered to all patrons , i think listing toooons of links for every backer on each patron-backed post might get a lil messy looking or annoying too so. So its good to have some limitations on it, I think.

Hello hun :) At the moment I'm still closed for taking on new commissions, what I have been posting are either general commission backlog or work that had been taken at Eurofurence.
I dont really offer them via patreon, as that kinda defeats the purpose of why i run it to begin with (to work on my world and own ideas).
I'll probably announce when ever I open for stuff on my twitter though :)
Or have been considering to open a telegram group for that kind of stuff :x
