Announcement: Dragons After Dark succeeding ADP at FC2018
8 years ago
Hello everyone,
I would like to let you know that I intend on taking over hosting and organizing the Adult Dragon Panel that was run by Kiteless at Further Confusion. A number of you may have seen the panel itself, or something similar that was run at some of the other conventions, but for those that do not know what it is, it is a panel dedicated to showcasing the creative adult dragon works of various artists. This gives the artists a platform to show their personality and discuss their artistic desires, tools and process in front of an interested crowd, which tends to lead towards much fun and naughty banter back and forth between the audience, host, and artists.
This event has always been something that I looked forward to during every Further Confusion. I have always enjoyed the show that Kiteless and all the others that presented and supported put forward. I am very happy and honored to have the privilege of continuing this event and creating more of the same excitement and joy I experienced during the past ADP’s.
In respect of the wishes of the creator, the name Adult Dragon Panel will be retired, and the spiritual successor Dragons After Dark (DAD) will replace it.
I plan to keep the platform much the same as ADP this coming year, where the panel is focused primarily on anthropomorphic or feral adult dragon works and the artists that created them. They will have a platform to present, talk about, and receive questions regarding their creations. The panel will be scheduled to run much shorter than usual, and I am not certain if the time frame will be expanded.
To make this a success, and to make both Kiteless and the community proud, I will need a lot of help in learning the processes of running a panel, finding artists that would like to submit their works and present, and finding ways to give a better performance. I have not run any panel before, so anyone who has had the experience and knows what to expect (especially when to become extra vigilant in communication with the convention staff to ensure that the event does happen) would be appreciated. I am also no tested performer, so any advice or coaching that others would be willing to offer, as well as input for the platform would be greatly appreciated.
I know this is very early, as the convention is out in January, but I would like to begin solidifying the idea and process as early as possible to allow for flexibility in the implementation.
Thank you all for your support,
- Dranslin

I've never been to FC and seen the ADP myself (sooooooo far away), but I fully support dragon stuff in all capacities, so I hope this pans out in a favorable way for you!
