I've been mulling over recent stuff. And I gotta say: It doesn't look very positive in terms of any improvement to the 18+ fandom anytime soon. I mean heck, even something as seemingly simple as tagging is nearly impossible to get people to understand.
And the demand for safe spaces and PC policing hasn't improved things either.
Heck, recently make a snarky comment on what looked like a major a pony folio, featuring females. Something with a proven 100 % scam rate. Or to be more specific: Fraud/Falsely advertised rating. I mean, this is the fandom that allows people to get away with selling futa folios with 0 futa. Or to include dicks in a folio that promised to not contain even a single ballsack. Like, swindle them any way you want. The pony folio fandom will take it bent over and just ask for more.
Either case. Had a recent discussion with Zone. (And, as they aren't a user on this site to my knowledge, it's not illegal to mention them in a journal. Like it is with mentioning any username, for any other purpose than crediting or promotion.) Will say: Was impressed by the response time. Expected to have to wait at least a week between each reply. Anyhow: To get to the point. The conversation basically boils down to: They only know how to draw one pussy. With the one time exception they drew a robo-vag. And they left me with this statement: "It's a niche fetish to be attracted to women".
And gotta say...that really hasn't sat well with me. As, the more I look at it. The truer it becomes. To most people it seems the female characters are just there to "be there". With the real focus being on the males. Heck, even had one moronic pony fan try to argue that cock worship is "female focus" since all female characters he draws conveniently happens to be cumbuckets with no needs or self-regard, with the only drive to pleasure cock. And thus, as the females WANT to pleasure dicks, that means it is therefore focused on the females. Which is about as coherent as claiming that "It's not rape, because I am only forcing myself on them because they won't let me have the consensual sex with them I wanted. Therefore, it's not rape. It's all their fault they're not enjoying it."

But anyhow. just looking at this, and any 18+ fandom where we have people like Jay Naylor openly admitting to being inferior to me in every regard when it comes to female genitalia is just... as Trump would put it: Sad.
Like, people like that are supposed to be the best of the best, top of their game... and they get their asses handed to them, by a novice animator, that can't even fucking draw? And I've just been unopposed declared the top expert of pussies in 2 and ½ fandoms for several years? It's stupid enough people call me the top, when I at MOST can be ONE of the top. But no, I just utterly humiliate them. And this, they brag about?
I mean, I can get bragging about how your fans are too stupid to have a standard, and how you've been able to get away with being inept for over a decade without ever having to put effort into your work on vulvae. And yeah, I am aware some excuse it as a preference to be incompetent. But that no longer works once they start to make claims on how they COULD actually do it.
I mean, lets be real here: If you give 100 $ to a "popufur" (top tier artist) and ask them for a dick. You will get, usually all that, or more in quality. You will be offered a plethora of options. You want any size, species or design of the dick? Want it hyper? Want x amount of floating ones for free? You get a smörgåsbord of options and service. If they don't know how to do the dick you ask for. They'll study and learn how to do it for you in most cases.
But, give a popufur a 100 $ to draw a pussy and... they just stand there strumming their lips. They can't offer you jack shit. They barely know how to draw ½ a loli vag, and that's it.
Again: We've had instances where there's been time difference as large as up to 30 seconds vs 4 hours. And it's never the opposite. People never dare to half-ass penises, as that's not socially acceptable.
But somehow for this, we're just okay with it? Even when the artists that does this, would REFUSE to get the same type of service. Or even pay 1/3'rd of what they are charging. But hey; When it's them doing it, nothing to see here, move along.
Seriously been considering the suggestions to just swipe hack artist art and re-sell it in folios. Just because it's that kind of business practice they endorse. Everything goes as long as you don't get caught.

You have been 1 of ..only like 3 people EVER to have asked for a specific vulva design. To say artists don't offer maybe true but Commissioners seem to not ask either. So if commissioners aren't asking, an artist may fall back to their Favorite or most proficient vulva design, Or something they know is favored by lots of people. I personally like lots of different vulva shapes from cute lil loli ones to sorta plump with a big clit ... I'm not going to draw an almost FtM Vag on a girl who didn't say they had that shape or if a ref provided didn't have that.

Through both discussions, surveys and observations. There is a surprising amount of people that don't really know other designs exist. OR: Thinks they can't ask for it. It's kinda become one of these "unspoken rules". I've seen several people just utterly flip their shit when asked what/if they can draw female genitalia, reacting as if I asked ex: why they have a specific skin color.
I can agree to "favorite", but not to "proficient", seeing how a vast number of people are incompetent at it. And that's not really something you can be skilled at, imo. Like, I'm not proficient at "Not knowing how to skateboard.". Most just default to the loli vag, as few people have a standard above that. It's kinda this "You HAVE to accept this" design.
A bunch of the "top tier" artists are doing a bit of "illuminati" to get into that area. One I can't name due to the naming policy, but I can hint to them by pointing out they are one of the biggest hack artists in the MLP fandom. Once trying to offer "free early previews" of his art, if you subscribed to his patreon and gave him money. Anyhow, that person is one of the ones that run around the fandom "policing it", by censoring and/or removing specific art. In particular: Any edits of his, or other high tier artists art, in which the edit puts the original artists female anatomy to shame. As they do not want people to ask for that, or realize that it doesn't have too look half-assed. With a very simple reason: They don't WANT to have to learn how to draw it. Currently they can copy paste or spend less than 30 seconds on a pussy, and get as much as for a up to 4+ hour dick. Like said: Minimum effort, maximum income. They're kinda like the fossil fuel industry. Fighting tooth and nail to shun renewable, cheaper energy. Or like the US healthcare business. They don't WANT you to have access to a better deal or service. They wana keep up their business as usual.
And this brings us all around back to the massive double moral in this, and all other 18+ fandoms.
I don't mind people having preferences or what have you. What I do mind is people being hypocritical bigots. With no justifiable defense other than "Well, that's how it's always been!".

What about the people that Refuse to draw a more youthful vulva because they either have never seen one or feel uncomfortable drawing that ? I understand people not knowing how to draw something, BUT it's honestly only a small effort to pull up some references and draw something reasonably accurately.
It's literally in every R34 fandom to what I've noticed. They drone on about how "no-one cares" or etc, but as soon as you do something they claim "no-one cares about", but in the "wrong way", then oh, shit! All hell breaks loose! (like "No-one cares how you draw genitals on a MLP!" and then draw a human peen on one. Then suddenly all that "not caring" really shows.)
And yeah, I can get that too. But, bragging about how incompetent they are? That's just... and yeah, it's a extremely low effort. Especially when you compare this to people that regularly takes ex: 4+ hours per dick, but then to refuse to spend even a minute per vag?
