Furry community and tolorance
I'm noticing more and more furries who show less tolerance than folks who are not even part of the fandom.
It used to feel like i could belong
But i'm noticing more and more furries with a lack of tolerance for even trans folks.
And it's getting under my scales...
I'm noticing the same jokes and bullshit in the furry community that i see like on youtube.
Jokes like "I identify as an attack helicopter" which is something that was started by an ass-hat on youtube who has and issue with trans folks.
I'm not the SJW type... but i am transgender.. and it's difficult enough dealing with without some ass who does not understand what i am going through making stupid jokes like that.
Ugh.. i dunno.
Anyone else noticing more furs who are un-accepting of others starting to pop up here and there?
Next thing you know there will be gay bashing furries... and lesbian bashing furries...

Sad to say that the Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory still holds true, and even more so in recent times when the forces of intolerance and the far right get bolder every day.
If you're unfamiliar with the G.I.F.T., this highly scientific diagram should explain it: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/.....wad_Theory.png
Me personally, I prefer to keep an open mind. I identify as pansexual, meaning any attraction I have to someone isn't based on physical gender.
You might say, I like interesting people
I find women attractive, but i'm extremely turned off by vagina most of the time.
Otherwise i would say i'm pan as well.
So you're saying it's an attention thing?
That folks on the internet are assholes for attention?
Makes sense..
But i was mostly speaking of the furry community... i used to think they were a pretty accepting bunch.. but not so much anymore.
Like all bullies though, they're cowards at heart. They'd never do it if they didn't have some form of protection against their victims fighting back. School bullies would use intimidation, backed up by their followers (when did you ever see a bully who didn't have some form of sycophantic helpers trailing around after them and cheering them on?)
In the case of modern bullies, their protection is anonymity. They hide securely behind a screen and a keyboard, knowing that their victims will never be able to find them to retaliate, while also ensuring they can get the last word in every time.
Also, they tend to target groups that are more widely attacked, since they know they can count on support from other bullies then. They could never do it alone.
And the audience is necessary because they need some kind of reaction. They need someone to see how macho and tough they think they are. (Trying not to laugh as I'm typing that!)
They need their gang of sycophants to cheer them on as they act out their delusions of power.
And yeah, there are a lot of them in the furry community. I've seen them pop up everywhere though.
I very much doubt there is much tolerance left in the human race in general. I think humanity has been regressing for some time, and the fact that people can be anonymous these days has just brought it out into the light where people can see it.
Maybe that's a bit negative, I dunno. Hard not to be when you're looking at the big picture...
