Seems the install guy showed up like half an hour ago and replaced the cable. o.o
I'll try streaming tomorrow.
Here's a picture of the cable, and it was indeed what we thought.

Also, this cable is at least twenty years old, on top of the damage done to it. So yeah, I'm really glad that this has changed and hope it means solid improvements. We've been yoyoing constantly for over a year.

Hopefully the install guy has given you some nice new CAT 6 or 7 cables now.
