For the R.L. you: Sorry for the Jay's rough start. Phillies are 3-3 and are in a four-way tie for 1st place in their division (woo hoo) ;) Don't know what that says about the N.L. East though ;) Almost blew it yesterday, but won in the bottom of the 9th and scored 12 runs in the 1st inning on Saturday night. The Nationals' pitcher was released after the game lol ;)

RL -- Well, there wasn't a question there, but I predicted that the Jays would start off like this. Exactly the record I figured would be at the home opener point. And they hardly ever win their home opener game too, so here comes 1 and 6. Tied for the worst record in the whole AL so far. Sure it's early, but they'd better figure out how to hit a ball quickly. I don't think people are really expecting much out of the Phillies this year, are they? Whatever progress they make is gravy.

Yes, that would be nice if they learned how to play with the ball ... and not just stand there playing with their balls.

Yeah, they have a relatively young team...a former Jay on the team in Saunders and another veteran in Kendrick was brought on to help the offense and add veteran leadership, but a lot of youth means growing pains. I'd love to see them put a package together to trade for Trout during the Summer...bring him home :)

Some people may allow them the excuse that they don't have their normal closer (final pitcher), and that throws the rest of the bullpen into chaos and disorder. I just think that the hitters still don't have a plan when they go to the plate to hit. They don't make productive outs. They're not getting on base, and if they do, they just sit back and wait for the home run to score. That's not going to work when your team isn't going to hit that many home runs this year heh.

Chet, what do you hate and like most about Monday?

I guess the simple answer is that I hate the beginning of Monday the most. I like the end of it the best LOL.

It's not Friday the 13th that scares me -- it's Monday the 13th. Those are the ones you have to watch out for!

Eh. Every day is just a day. Some suck more than others. I have no issue with Monday tbh

It is true that Monday is just a day. It is the start of the traditional work week in many countries. That's where the stereotype plays in. When I was in the middle east, the work week started on Saturdays. After some pressure from many of the ex-pats, the work week started on Sundays then. That was kinda tough to get used to. TGIT just doesn't have the same ring as TGIF LOL
