Myre around the world & Haunter of Dreams around the corner!
About a month ago when I made the last update, the first big batches of Myre went out to the founders and orders from my store. Not too long after, I received tons of messages with pictures of copies arriving and messages with immensely great feedback regarding the art and story. Thank you all for the wonderful support and for letting me know when your copy arrived. For everyone who is still considering getting a copy for themselves, I ship every week around the same time. Sometimes, I hit the post office more often to make sure your order arrives quickly. :)
You can acquire your own copy at: https://www.yriachronicles.com - If you'd like to have your copy signed for yourself or someone else, drop me a message in the check out process!
Thank you for all the great feedback and critique on the story and art! I'm really happy that you enjoy the first volume of Myre and thank you for the patience for the continuation of the epic! :)
Now that I've gotten a good portion of rest, I'm happy to announce that I will begin working on the storyboard for the spinoff comic, "Haunter of Dreams" next Monday! Just in time for Easter, in a very coincidental manner, I'm beginning to make concepts of our little bunny main character. :) Everyone who supported my crowdfunding campaign of Myre and HoD will get to see the completed pages first. I have received numerous questions regarding opening a Patreon where I could provide supporters with the making of scenes, concepts and pages. All I can say is that I'm not entirely sure whether or not a Patreon would be the right thing for me to do. As usual, I tend to take a lot of time for a page so that I can fully focus on the story's full potential in detailing and narrative. I'm very happy about the great patience everyone brought forward during the making of Myre. Letting people wait long stretches of time isn't what I like to do. And rushing artwork is something I wouldn't even want to consider. What are your thoughts on that? Let me know in the comments below. :)
Since quite a few people learned about a certain dynamics between Myre and Varug, I also wanted to ask if you were interested seeing a couple more strips between the two. I currently planned for two more and would like to continue coming up with a few more strips inbetween bigger projects. Those would explain their quirky but friendly relationship to each other and hopefully put a smile on your faces. :)
For the fans of Lutz, I might as well try and come up with a couple of strips of him just...eh...lutzing around. xD
That's it for now! Ask me any questions if you have some, and I'll see you around! :)

Much love!

I was wondering if there was a limited amount of Myre books ? Can't really buy one right now, but probably in the future monthes !
There is a limited amount at the moment but I'm working hard and try to get Myre into a second run. I'm still currently at the first run. There is still time. :)
The smell of a new book, the wonderfully rendered pages just, yes. God yes its good.
Ive been going around showing my family the artwork in Myre its so darn good. ^^
I'm so sad what happened and hope things get resolved in the next one!
Haha yeah. The first volume was quite a ride. I'm doing my best to get my hands on the second volume. :)
I'm not sure if you're already answered this but how many volumes have you planned to make for Chronicles of Yria?
I've initially planned Myre to come in 3 parts but since there is so much to explain and characters grow with the story, the number has grown immensely! Now, if I said a very specific number, it would sound like a promise. At this state, I can't promise for a specific number as scripting and writing will either expand or shrink it all. I can certainly say though that I will continue working on the series until it's completed. :)
About patreon: You have two options to get money from the patrons.
1) Monthly payment
2) Payment per comic page/video/content entry
So if you don't know if you can get something done every month, you can use option 2. I say "comic" because I know webcomics who offer you the weekly comic strip two days earlier or so, or WIPs, but of course you can do this with all kinds of stuff. (And there also seems to be some kind of option to say which posts "count" because I recently got a "Sorry, no comic this week"-thing with a picture in it which I of course didn't have to pay for.)
As patron you can set yourself a limit of let's say 4 entries per month to avoid being broke because the artist started to go crazy and demands payment for daily uploads, so don't be afraid of that. :)
I'm not using patreon as creator but to support three artists with a small payment, so I can't tell you about the details. However, the help area on their website seems to be actually helpful. Personally both crowdfunding and patreon or similar platforms have their advantages and disadvantages. If someone can't afford a large sum at once (or save money long enough in time), patreon is a great help because it's often just 1-5 Euro per month. That's 1 less Döner per month, that's more affordable. However, this is more like a tip jar and you have to great regularly new content for your patrons, so gathering a large sum and planning with that is much harder than doing a large crowdfunding project. On crowdfunding you have a fixed ammount of money, a clear "To do" list and everything. You have to know what you're doing though so you don't miscalculate. However, you've proven already that you are more than capable of handling a successful crowdfunding campaign, so I doubt this will be a problem.
Whatever you choose to do: I wish you a huuuge ammount of luck and success with that! You can do it!
