House for sale
After finally getting the HOA to fix the foundation on my condo and fixing all of the internal cracks from the foundation issue. I am finally about to list my place on the market. Finally time to get away from the HOA from hell. Once it is listed on the market I can finally start catching up on other projects and tasks such as renewing my current Cisco certifications and earning additional certifications.
Once I get away from this damn HOA I will have successfully removed all of the toxic elements from my life. The first of toxic elements I've eliminated was getting out of working in a call center. I have actually turned down jobs that pay a lot more than what I make now simply because that job was to basically sit at a desk, wear a headset and answer calls all day long. I refuse to work in another call center again. I can easily write a 10-page essay on how bad of a working environment that is and average turnover in such places is around 50%. The modern day equivalent of a sweatshop.
The HOA has caused a LOT of problems due to mis-management and issuing multiple special assessments because they ignored small problems for years and only took care of them when they became huge and the structure is now about to fall apart. We were very close to filing a class-action lawsuit against the HOA and were consulting with a lawyer just before they finally said that they are going to fix the foundation and roof issues on the building where my condo is at. It took the city threatening to sue the HOA and code enforcement issuing fines to them as well to get them to actually fix the problems with this building. The roof was very close to caving in. This entire ordeal managed to delay the sale by about 2 years.
Once I am free from the HOA from hell I will finally be happy again.
One good thing that has come from the HOA drama and the 2 year delay in the sale of the Condo is that the prices in the area have been going up the whole time.
