This was a very adorable episode at times. We had a full on case of the cutes with flurry heart making her return. This is yet another episode that had two separate storylines, or three if you want to look at it that way. The plot was a bit noisy, but still pretty well done. The dual storylines work this time because of the meaning of the second storyline of the episode with Cadence and Shining Armor. Overall, this was a very adorable episode full of baby caused mischief.
My grade: B
Advantages: Very cute moments between Twilight and Flurry, second storyline actually fits into the narrative well
Drawbacks: Rather noisy plot, needed a bit more of the cadence/shining armor storyline.
Next new episode: "Rock Solid Friendship", April 29th.

I found it SO very cute and fun!
I only had one issue with the episode...
Why was there No mention of the CMC characters, just their nameless classmates.
If they've graduated, we never saw it, if they didn't get sick, then there should have been some mention of that.
Otherwise, I really enjoyed this one.
Especially how both this and the last episode had scenes in locations all over Ponyville.
BTW, been meaning to ask you something about the season premiere, did You think the "what if?" moment with Starlight & Sunburst made a "circle" was a reference to something? (I won't say what, so I won't be leading you to the conclusion I'm looking for.
Cuz so far, none of the Brony reviewers/analysts I watch have mentioned what I'm thinking of...
The circle moment? I dno't really know. I haven't come up with a headcanon about it as of yet. It might have something to do with the occult through.
the hospitalized ones had been their classmares and colts, right?
Well, I guess it either didn't occur to you or you're not familiar with it.
I meant it looked like one of these: https://youtu.be/hZjp32EiTzM?t=2m50s
From this: https://youtu.be/bvpJjbphJWQ?t=38s (you only need to watch til 1m17s)
Let me know what you think. I'd like to think I'm not crazy, that they were indeed referencing this with that scene.
That's what it actually looked like.
Glad you agree. I think they were for sure referencing that particular event.
In case you weren't aware, the two boys are using the magic of Alchemy to try resurrecting their recently dead mother, performing forbidden Human Transmutation. And similarly to how Twilight's... fantasy (?) things don't go quite right and something in the middle of the circle sucks them in. (in the boys' case, one boy is fully sucked in, the other just loses a limb)
I'd say that MLP couldn't use quite the same occult symbols, since pentagrams and the like are pretty forbidden. (Yu-Gi-Oh!'s American censorship comes to mind)
The american censors care more about censoring anything that could "hurt" children.
Yeah, I think I saw something about Maud graduating or something like that.
I like the sound of a Rarity/SweetieBelle episode.
Also, YAY! Rainbow Dash's parents! Now all we're missing is Applejack's, right?
What do you mean by "sinks our ships"?
I won't give anything away, but that could be pretty close to the plot.
I always love the Rarity/Sweetie Belle Centric episodes. Haven't had one in a while.
AJ's parents died a long time ago.
I don't wanna give it away, but think of ships that involve the cmc's immediate family members. (I'll give you a hint: this paring is QUITE popular in the fandom)
Glad you're not giving anything away. I've avoided most spoilers. (I think I just saw a tiny ad during or after the last new episode.
Well, with Rarity being my favorite of the Mane 6, I rather like those too.
Does the episode The Cart Before The Pones count as one? If not, yeah, it's been quite a while.
It would seem that way, but have they actually confirmed that? And if that IS the case, doesn't mean we can't have a flashback a-la Where The Apple Lies.
OH, you meant ships=relationships. Okay.
I don't know if I know of any solid pairings that feature the CMC...
