My ideas for a Tiny Toons film revival...
Well, I felt like I just had to do this after recently discovering a certain TTA fans intention to make a story where all but two of the characters die...
Anyway, here are the things I would do if I were to make a film adaptation of "Tiny Toon Adventures".
1. As a Fifi fanboy, I'll just get this out of the way: I'd have a subplot involving her developing a relationship with a female OC. Yeah, I've never really rooted for her being with Furball, Calamity, or even Hampton. For one thing, neither Furball nor Calamity actually fell for her, and for another thing, she was only seen with Hampton together in one. F***ing. Episode. By pairing her with a female, however, I plan to have her romance go beyond just seeing a black-and-white male, and immediately going Ga-Ga for him. It'll go like this: Fifi notices that one new kid is a male skunk, she gets teamed up with the female OC, who happens to be a lesbian/bisexual, the female OC tries to befriend Fifi, but she claims that she will only like boys, however, as they continue to hang out together, Fifi starts to like the OC, and ultimately decides to be girlfriends with her.
2. In terms of casting, I plan to have a mix between voice actors and celebrities. Some names I'm considering are Tara Strong, Cathy Cavadini, Grey Delilse, Kevin Michael Richardson, Rob Paulson, and some returns of a few of the original voice actors, like Tress Macneille. In terms of celebrities, I'm considering Michael Cera, Seth Green, Elle Fanning, Jason Lee, and even Seth MacFarlane, just to name a few.
3. I plan to do favors for some TTA fans by introducing their own characters into the franchise as new students of Acme Looniversity.
4. In a similar manner of the casting, I feel like combining their satirical humor with the blockbuster movies of today. Perhaps a spoof of the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
5. The plot I was considering for a TTA film adaptation would go like this: There would be one group of the characters, consisting of, say, Buster Bunny, the professors of Acme Looniversity and some other characters who believe they should stick with their familiar gags and scenarios in order to keep the show funny. Then, the other group, consisting of characters like Furball and Calamity who usually have very few episodes dedicated to them, feel like they're being treated too harsh. This eventually results in a bitter rivalry between the two groups, as they each turn to extremes to get their point across to each other. (BTW, this is where they will start spoofing Marvel, what with the "Civil War" inspired plot.) Busters group resorts to having nearly every skit and episode have at least one of the characters from Furballs group end up in some kind of misery, and Furballs group coming up with new scripts involving every other character except for themselves end up in misery. In the middle of this war would be the band of new students I mentioned earlier. They would start off idolizing the characters and wanting to be like them and all that, but as the rivalry intensifies, they start to turn away from them, providing some of the mist dramatic moments in the story. This would all lead up to the type of question we get on cliffhanger endings: Would these two groups learn to compromise and respect their views? Will they realize that the real threat is predicting their downfall? (I won't give away too much, but, that threat is Montana Max.)
So, there you have it. My choices for a Tiny Toons film adaptation. Oh, and I would have the animation be the same style as "The Peanuts Movie", where its CGI, but somehow looks like stop-motion. Feel free to share your opinions with me in the comments below! Remember, no ranting or trolling or anything of that nature.
