Matters of Suicide Can Be Helped.

A friend of mine is caring for someone they know having tried to kill themselves. This number is the national suicide prevention hotline: 1-800-273-8255. It is free and available 24/7. If you even remotely feel need to talk to someone about suicide or self harm, either about yourself or someone else, call them. Immediately. If you are unsure how to help someone who is denying it, call the NON-EMERGENCY police line of the city the individual lives in, tell them the situation and the individual's address. The police have teams to help, and you'd be surprized how many people going through mental health crisis situations do open up. This all applies if you need it too. Act with knowledge, spread the word. Helping a life doesn't require skills or training. Share this post, please.

There may be better resources available though. A friend of mine, whom I persuaded to call this hotline, was met with a message that they weren't working that day. 24/7 may be a massive overstatement.
