Being Poor is Exhausting + Why I Don't Post More Often

Man if you're poor, too, right now I just. -high fives you through the internet.- This shit is honestly the most stressful and exhausting thing, and when money becomes all you can think about as a survival mechanism, your quality of life really goes to pot. Literally. That shit takes your health down with it.
But anyways, it looks like I'm only really posting between once a week to once a month here at FA, which... sucks. I post a bit more on my Tumblr, but a solid 90% of what I'm posting is commissions. I'd like to be able to draw and paint more, and share my own stories and OCs without feeling afraid of if my rent will be paid. Commissions are great until they feel like they're the only art I'm "allowed" to do. I want to do more.
So that aside, I am completely and totally asking for help. There are a few ways you can help, and a couple don't cost a thing.
1. If you have money to spare, joining my Patreon helps me monthly. Patreon funds help me make speedpaint and how-to videos and pay my internet bill so I don't get cut off. Even as little as $1 a month helps. You can check it out here, obligation free, and even follow my feed for my free posts without pledging: https://www.patreon.com/ashhavynn
2. If you don't want to pledge but you'd like to buy some art, consider checking out my shop, getting yourself a print, or telling your friends about it. You can see my online shop here: http://ashhavynn.storenvy.com/
3. If you're on deviantART, you can help me loads just by following my deviantART and favoriting stuff as you normally would. You'll even get to see some art I don't post to furaffinity. You can find my DA here: http://ashhavynn.deviantart.com/
4. If you're on Tumblr, following my art blog and just reblogging the posts you normally would from me helps new people find my art. It does a lot more than you think, and it doesn't cost a dime. My blog is here: http://ashhavynn.tumblr.com/
Thank you again to everyone who supports me, I'm gonna put my nose back in my art for now <3

Thank you for adding me on DA by the way <33
I can totally understand wanting to work on your own projects, it's the backbone of artistic drive!
I'll see if I can send a few more coffees soon and try to support the patreon for as long as I can, those how to videos sound interesting for sure. Oh and I see a Reaper notebook that my sister would DIE DIE DIE for! >w>
I'm apparently pretty good at teaching and demonstrating things (I almost went on to get a teaching degree), and I've been told by so many people to do videos. The recording and editing takes a lot of time though, and it's always a fight between "I need to use all that time on things I'm directly getting paid for -now-, bills don't wait" and "but I WANNNNT TOOOOO"
You know a few people have had their eyes on the reaper notebook, but nobody has jumped. To the winner goes the spoils, I guess haha
AND BEST FOR LAST YES YOU GET IT. I feel so guilty sinking time into my own projects when I have a queue, and also because I'm just not at a point yet where my original work is paying and I just... absolutely have to pay bills. But at the same time, I find I don't look forward to working on commissions anymore when they're all I do. There's such a balance to it all, I love doing everything but I can't ONLY do one thing or it starts to suck :( But I always feel like I'm disappointing people if I work on my own art instead of commissions and I feel like that feeling gets reinforced a lot by the reactions I get from people?? IDK MAN but thank you for always being so supportive and understanding, even if you can't toss money at me you always seem to know what i'm going through <33
They last thing I think anybody wants is you getting burnt out, taking time out for breaks and personal pieces is a necessity for sure.
I snagged that Reaper book, was gonna keep it a surprise for my sister but she was having a really bad day, super down in the dumps like. That and I'm terrible at keeping secrets... >w>
Legit brought tears to her eyes, she's a fan of your art and a HUUUUUGE Reaper fan!
I set a little note on my calendar for my next payday, Ashhavynn koffii/patreon.
Hopefully I'll be able to lend a decent helping hand~
And that's seriously so sweet? I'm bad at keeping present secrets if the giftee is feeling rough, too. I'm weaaak I want them to be happyyy and honestly I'm glad it was an adequate pick-me-up and I hope she continues to feel better.
And honestly I haven't gotten to really do personal art/projects, but just the day or so I've spent working on different art has already helped. Balance, I suppose?
