I dunno. It's really disappointing when my auctions don't do as well as I hoped they would.
And I refuse to under sell my art.
What do I do??
Do I extend the end date?
Or just cancel it and repost it with a fixed price?
It can still cause a backlash because when the person makes a bid, they are setting aside money for it on the hopes of getting the image. An outbid, someone can understand, but for it to be cancelled kind of ... makes it feel like the money they were willing to spend wasn't good enough for the artist, y'know? I mean, I can understand not wanting to undersell your art by all means, but... if that's the case, the starting bid should be the absolute lowest that you are willing to spend your time on. If anything, follow through with this but call it your learning experience. Cancelling, more often than not, will have a real negative feel to it for future bidders.
Yeah but those are for the people that mostly only open for ychs or have a super high quality art style that people like (Mostly like the ones that draw fur like skin that I don't like haha) or there is a must have pose that people really want.
If I had seen this before sending the monies, we could've talked about another idea or something so I paid a bit more. I enjoy most auctions as they normally go higher.
Another idea, you could advertise a little more. That gets attention as it pops up in our feeds.
Once a week isn't bad, though. You can crop an image and add writing, I've seen that many times without anyone getting into trouble. And as for not liking advertising, how else would people know? ^_^
Always have your starting bid the lowest you would accept for something.
I'm glad I posted about this instead of just canceling it.
It would have been a big mistake.
Most people bid on YCH's to get a better deal that is cheaper then commissioning outright.
Really? Most auctions I see are the opposite. Some people even go above and beyond >.>

Plus, it's kinda against the rules >.>
