I'll try to go with Discord first, but I'll consider Telegram if it gives me problems too :P

I too have had many problems with Skype. Honestly though. I didn't want to give Discord a chance. Just because I didn't want to be a huge idiot on a new application. But it only took me a day or so to get used to discord. I hope that you one more chance with it can at least help you. If not there is always the harder to use version of discord, AKA teamspeak. But that is my opinion. I prefer discord a lot more than Skype now and I am sure at least some community members would like to help you get used to a new and much better application for your own communication needs ^^

I had used Discord for a while time ago, but I couldn't get used to it... I had none of my close friends xD

I started using telegram because skype was having too many issues for me. Personally I think telegram is way better~

Do it. I completely switched to discord and haven't moved backed. The only reason I had to reinstall it was because my account was hacked and sent links to everyone =_=

I stopped using skype. It uses a shitton of memory for no reason other than plastering ads everywhere and it likes to freeze or shut down randomly.

Discord is FAB. If you're over eighteen, I'll invite you to my server! :D

Thanks for the invite, but I'll try to get a few close friends with me there first and then I'll see if I can manage to get more social... I'm too big of an introvert ;_;

I just deleted Skype, it's probably the most painful chat app to deal with.

I think it was mostly fine until Microsoft bought it, at least I don't remember having major problems with it back then. 8(

i left skype for discord. i like discord better.

And this is the reason i do not do skype anymore. Sure have it. But most of my shit is happening on discord nowadays.
Skype is just getting too buggy for my tastes. Doesnt help that it does repeatedly die and not work on my phone, but discord does. so... yeah..

(only eature in Discord missing is the screenshare/camera call. But hey, they might add it and Discord has many other awesome features in return for gamers :)

The only little detail I miss on discord is the taskbar icon flashing with nem messages, since I keep all notifications off or silent when possible to not get stuff over the main screen over games or in stream. Discord only gets like a tiny dot on the small icons by the clock instead, and that's impossible to notice unless you look specifically for it.

Other than that I like Discord, I just need to get used to it, and hopefully drag my close friends into it too. :P

I've had a skype account for years. I think I've used it twice. It's just not worth the hassle.

I stopped using Skype a while ago. Telegram supplies all my communication needs.
