I commented with a written piece. The scope of the most technically correct definition of art, and the one that has been consistently in the dictionary rather than thrown out of it as obsolete, is the one that includes artistic expressions in all possible mediums, including visual, written, spatial, etc.

So writing is definitely a kind of art, and I at least am very curious to see what writing you would link here.

We'll see if I can handle it when I get to it, I am more squeamish with certain violence things that I normally like to admit, but I'll try. Right now I have the first chapter still bookmarked, because it seems that I just don't have time for as many projects as I hope to be getting to at once. But in due time, I will get to it.

There are one or two squeamish things planned out later on, but nothing graphic on screen bar a bit of blood. One of the more gruesome ones is probably going to be the Aztec chapter. You never see any sacrifices, but you do see a Chacmool

Well usually blood is the big issue, especially encountering the word itself, even in a figurative expression. But I'll at least try the first chapter and see. I'll admit, I'm definitely often a dabbler/sampler/whatever you call it.

I agree with  distrarsubcat, art is art. We tend to just assume art means visual art but thats what its just come down to in spoken language. Writing is a valid form of art. Any story or shorts that you are proud of please share, thats what this journal is about~

Most of it has to do with natural progression and mood. There were times when I was really feeling low a lot :O but now I'm perked up I feel more confident.

I'm currently rearranging the faces of Bokoblins in aesthetically pleasing ways, such as a bloody mess. Does that count? :P

There are some things that written art mediums can do artistically that visual mediums cannot. They both have their strengths and weaknesses, but they are both kinds of art. Just very different kinds of art.

As I mentioned earlier I definitely think art includes all forms, including written, audio, theatrical and so on and Im happy to have people share all kinds of media here!

I am not in the least bit a good written critic and havent tried since high school, but I enjoy that the stresses on syllables seem to shift between the 'season' verses :)
