There is a Telegram group that someone started up for furry, Nintendo Switch enthusiasts if you're interested. Though I do have to warn that it can be really active, so you'll want to turn off notifications.

In fact, I only downloaded two Switch games. Neither should have filled that memory card. Maybe the OS update takes it's toll. Still...I can't believe that a second card is already needed.
There is at least one hope, somewhere on the horizon for local hosting, since games want to be so massive. And that is a beautiful thing called Crystalize Discs. (Or something like that.) These crazy things are quite literally Superman technology. A rather small circle of manufactured crystal. Uses lasers operating into the fifth dimension. Supposedly, they don't wear out like modern DVD's can from overexposure. And have storage capacity into the terabyte range. It shouldn't be too expensive once out of that 'brand new' phase, either. Main question is: Will this technology make the scene before the industry forces everything to be Cloud based? With a world pushing for Wi-Fi in as many places as possible, it may very well be a hard won race on whom makes the finish line, first.
1) Everything that is yours...is hosted elsewhere.
2) All security that keeps others from browsing, copying/stealing, changing, deleting, using for ransom, etc is completely out of your control.
3) Everything that is yours...could self destruct at any time or remain archived for a billion years. You probably have no true control over that.
4) Anything you pay full price for (games/utilities/software) could be removed at any time for reasons given or not.
5) Lose the internet, lose access to your stuff.
6) Probably a monthly subscription/maintenance fee.
7) If some company that is hosting your Cloud should happen to go bankrupt...everything you have with them (probably) goes away.
8) Bad internet days means poor to no computing anything for you.
9) Other bad stuff.
On the positive side, you can...
1) Access your whole personal virtual computer anywhere in the world.
2) Probably do it from a super light weight and powerful smart phone.
3) A game that is ten trillion GigaBytes is someone else's problem about hosting.
4) Multi-person hosting support.
5) Some other good things I'm not thinking of, right now.
The going under bit was instantly came to my mind some years back, when that Vudu service was stating that you trade your physical DVD's and Blu-Rays into a Wal-Mart for eternal access to the on-line version. In fact, the only advantage I could see in that was in no longer having to dedicate cubic feet of home space to the storage of such media. Which is also the beauty of crystaline discs. A few of those that can fit in my hand can store a whole BlockBuster store's worth of movie titles. And I don't need high speed...functional internet on a monthly fee basis to access it.
