There are alot of furries which do participate in beastiality it to is compleatly wrong, being attracted to a child or a compleatly different species is to much.

I think the furry fandom lets these sick things fester to much. I mean seriously, people can like whatever they want but I don't think it should be allowed to be shown, or bragged about. Where people see it and get to pass judgement due to that.

I'm against it myself, and I completely agree with you. It's still "Children" based. Same with a lot of other fetishes that are all taboo. But once someone, or people get into something. And they find a site/place/site thats ok with it. It spreads.

I'd like to personally slap each individual, among other things. But on a site where almost anything is viable, it can't/won't be changed unless it is banned. But as an art site, it can't be either. I'd rather not have to see any of it, nor would I want anyone else to. But a massive change like this, won't happen unless most of the accounts on FA bother the Admins.

Either way, if it stays or goes. I'll just avoid it all together.

Completely agreeable. But once again, the bigger names in the fandom pretty much run the show. So why crack down on the ones that are more "favorbale", and bring in more "fans".

I noticed a surge of cub porn lately! I am not freaked out easily some art on FA has been able to do that to me. I do not blame the site but some furs need to see a phycologist.

It's not the sites fault but they could help, I think they just are too lazy sometimes.

Back in 2006 when the cub porn debate EXPLODED all over FA, I actually left the site and deleted my gallery because I was so disgusted at the mere notion of having my art show up next to such filth.

I'm back because I wasn't able to get the same kind of exposure for my art on DA or Artspots, but at the same time, I think FA could use a nice cleansing by fire. I think it would be great if the site owners got threatened with a nice lawsuit and the banning of child porn resulted.

But whenever this topic is brought up, folks always have to bring up the "ARGH CENSORSHIP!" and "ARGH THEY'RE JUST DRAWINGS!" arguments. And usually the debates go in circles until both sides are worn out.

For now all I can do is stay off the browse recents page, and pray that if any cub stuff shows up when I search the cervines category, the artist was decent enough to add a warning thumbnail.

If you can bear to look at said kiddy fucking picture again, if you report it to the right mod, maybe, just maybe they'll have enough sense to remove it, or at least give the guy a warning.

Makes me sad really. I like drawing my characters as youngins but I shouldn't have to worry about getting creepy comments when I post them.

Same here with that bottom part, I love drawing like my neices and nephews as animals that they look like but know it's a cub and I've already recieved 2 creepy comments on a picture I did of my little pooty monkey. Which is my sisters baby and makes me want to seriously seriously hurt the people who made snide comments about it.

And as for censorship, They need to get the fuck over it, most of the furry community is in the United States of America which censors things just as bad as any third world country which places there religion more important than lives.

Yeah, FA really needs to make separate filters for Mature and Adult art. I am not afraid of seeing boobs. I have them, dammit! But I could certainly do without the gratuitous sexing.

I think I may have a slightly different take on this. I think that the cub and child images are disturbing and pretty messed up BUT I defend people's right to draw own and display things that I dont like as long as it's legal to do so. Child pornography that involves actual children is harming to them and ruins their lives while drawn images of children does not.

There are many things on FA and the internet in general that I find disgusting but I believe that we need more freedom rather than less. I'll defend freedom for all types of stuff that I disagree with because I'm sure that people may dislike and want to censor things that I enjoy.

Part of the rub of a free society is that everyone is free to offend everyone else and your defense is to look away not listen etc. If people push to limit or censor you are actually limiting your own freedoms as well.

On a side note: Why is all the cub stuff creepy looking even beyond the subject matter? It's always so creepily drawn...

The point though wasn't directed at cubs, what I saw was drawn human children.

And again I dislike censorship as much as the next person, I'm all for freedom of expression and freedom of speech through whatever method someone wants to use.

But people draw there fantasies, and if those fantasies involve act with children regardless of weather they act out on it is still something fantasized in ones head. And if this is the case is it not still wrong? Think about it, think of seeing you child, innocent and pure, then think about someone having fantasies about doing things to them. Weather or not they act out on it, it's purely immoral.

Fantasizing about having sex or doing sexual things with children point blank is just wrong.

I don't think we should condole of this thinking because in the end these fantasy's will end in the act.

People who fantasize about killing 75% of the time will end up murdering.

I mean it's not really censorship if it's already illegal in the real world, and preforming such things with a child is extremely illegal. So I don't see why drawing it should fall under any different standards mainly because of this reason.
Does a fursona or someones "character" not represent them in some way shape or form? So does that not mean that a picture of there character and a cub, or an actual child in the case of the images I saw, not mean in some way, shape, or form of a deep rooted fantasy of them having sex with a child.

This fantasy is not okay, nor is raping, or killing.

I'm just saying I wish human beings weren't so fucked up, to fantasize about these things, or preform these things. I wish there was a way to just eradicate these disturbances, I mean rape, murder, or things like these are just links from something fucked up happening to that particular person at some point in time in there life. Usually pedophiles where raped or molested as a child and thus carry on to do these things, while murderers where usually extremely physically and mentally abused. It's just one big sick cycle and I seriously wish it'd stop.

I also wish that they would ban pornographic renditions of children from this site. Yes it's censorship, and yes it would take away our freedoms, but for this particular instance I'd gladly loose it. Just to not have other peoples sick fantasies associated with my art.

i agree that cub/child porn is disgusting, and i would prefer to never ever have to see it....but there is a HUGE difference between pedophiles and actual child molesters. i don't agree with pedophilia, it seriously creeps me out, but as long as they keep their fantasies to themselves and don't touch a real child then i'm not going on the warpath. and if drawing or viewing cub porn helps their fantasies STAY fantasies, awesome. drawings of cub/child porn is just the lesser of two evils, i guess.

It is a rough issue, for sure... adults, under any situation, have had the time to develop their sense of right, wrong, and some fair willpower to choose. A kid is a kid: they know a little, sure-- we've been underrated as youngsters, but it's still obvious that they generally have what the world gives them for an opinion. I conclude that doing kids is rape, whether they think they're willing or not.

If you use Japan as an example, they have some of the lowest rates of murder and child molestation but have some of the craziest freakish fetishes expressed on paper of any society.

You need to discourage action and allow thought and expression. When one persons will removes another persons liberty, that is what you need to action.

I wish we lived in a world where maturity wasn't measured in age but in development. I've met people in their 30s that shouldn't be allowed to have sex and some 16 year olds who could start a household. When you attach llegality to a specific age and decide to enforce it to a crazy degree... it's not adressing the real problem.
Just think of all the illegal activity shown in the average action movie. Think of all the debauchary in the clockwork orange or catcher in the rye. There has to be an outlet for even the worst of thought or soon there wont be an outlet for any of it.
