UPDATE: Places are full for dinner, if you still want to join, I can ask the restaurant, but I can't guarantee a spot.


On Saturday the 1st of July, the real start of summer, the furries will take over the Gravensteen in Ghent (Castle of the Counts), followed by a spaghetti at the Kastart.

I've reserved 15 places for both, it doesn't matter much for the castle, but I can't guarantee more than 15 spots for the restaurant, so I'll have to know definitively who's coming, and who's not.

The plan:
• 15:00 meetup at Sint Pietersstation.

• 15:30 We take a tram to the city centre.
(If you want to meet up in the centre, let me know)

• We'll still be early, so there's time to look around a bit, get an ice cream

• 16:00 Visit of the castle.
Though much of the castle consists of restaurations from the early 20th century, it is nevertheless a very worthwhile visit and a trip to the middle ages. The castle also hosts a permanent exhibition of weapons and torture devices.
Do be mindfull that we'll have to climb some very narrow stairs, so if you're in a wheelchair of have a broken leg, etc this isn't the meet for you.
A visit will last about 45 minutes, could be more, could be less.

• Depending on how much time we spend inside the castle, we can have a walk through the centre, have a drink somewhere, I'll leave it up to time, the weather and what the group wants.

I've reserved 15 spots for this restaurant. Mostly famous for its spaghetti, but there are also other pasta dishes and snacks.

• After dinner, the meet is technically over, but those who want to hang around are free to enjoy the Ghent nightlife.

Please also make clear: Are you coming for the whole meet, or just the castle, or just for dinner. Where will we meet up (at the station, at the centre, at the castle, at the restaurant)? And: how to contact you if we can't find you.

Keep in mind that is not a fursuiting meet. It's ok to wear a tail, but nothing too big, remember the castle has narrow staircases and wasn't built with us in mind.

I'll expect each of you to act responsibly both in the castle and in the restaurant.

Remember: when those spots are filled, I can always ask the restaurant if there's room for one more, but I can not guarantee it.
