My two cents about the furry fandom: good, and bad.

I ain't very active in the fandom, I'm more like "staying at the edge" (I'm more a therian than anything else, although, there also, I have my limits). From what I can see from the corner of the fandom, there's good stuff, but also much bad stuff.
Good stuff is: cool artwork, sharing interest in anthro and fantasy creatures, seeing friends meet other friends, having cool and fun discussions, maybe sometimes drinking a bit too much booze... well, this is the good side.
But wait, does the furry fandom REALLY have to be surrounded by such a bunch of lamers, immature bitchers, stinky morons with absolutely no idea about how to behave in a society (sharing the same interest BTW), cretins who can't make the difference between naughty fetishes to draw and to play in internet RPG's, annd to become to YIFF IN FURSUITS, PUBLICLY, AT A CON!?! C'm'on, where's the COMMON SENSE? And what to say about those who have absolutely no respect toward artists, one way or another, some of you know what I'm talking about.
And yeah I know, the fandom is known for the drama's. I know some furries and therians are oversensitive, not their fault. And I know some furries/therians had a really fucked-up youth for some or other reasons, but man, does it REALLY have to ruin a con?
And the trolls: I know I have the tendency to consider a part of the fandom as a BIG SATIRE (e.g. trolling lamers who think BAWWW FURRIEZ RUINED ME LIEF), I know I tend to post pun and jokes (even naughty ones) but wait: beginning to spread shite at cons? Stealing and bugging artists? Making disrespectful comments?
There are places to troll, like lulz.net. But goddamnit, when will some be able to make the difference between places where one can troll and places where one should behave, between places where to yiff and places where you MUST behave, and I could tell more!!
tl;dr: NO I don't go to cons, NO I don't take commissions, NO I don't wanna deal with the bullshit. I'm still here for online friends and for the fun, and fuck the bullshit.
It's all common sense, rules & laws or not (because some know how little respect I have for some laws).

There are always weirdos in a group, the matter is how much they will affect the general reputation of the group to outsiders. Also how openly some reveal their fetishes even on an artsite like FA really bothers me. It has to do with the fact as they find other people with the same fetish.
And then when something isn't totally accepted, it turns into a drama usually ( claiming ''fursecution'' for example ). The general openmindedness is abit bothersome too.
As to the trolling, the fandom is a rather easy target for that also. But physical harming actions aren't really acceptable in my opinion as you talked about ''spreading shite at cons'' etc.
Rather than complain, I generally try to lead an example of what IS socially acceptable. <3
Hmm, why its done, unknown, people are assholes - and this is in all groups, areas, fandoms. It is life.
If it wasn't for good artists and dudes who don't take furry stuff too seriously - and people who can lulz of my funnier stuff, and some online friends, I'd probably conclude FA ain't fun at all.
And I don't wonder why the furry fandom is trolled, this is about how some decent artists (not telling names) are treated by the ample amount of morons surrounding or parasiting the fandom.
So when are you gonna troll lulz again? ;)
and also, I forgot another thing that irks me, it's puritanism (that's so hypocrite!): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2500663
I so love to troll puritans.
