i've always loved the sea alot, mostly cause my grandparents lived on lake eerie and my best childhood moments were out on the docks, i used to be wayyyy into pirates cause of wind waker & one piece, but then the gorillaz plastic beach album shifted that to nautical sailor aesthetic.
and i always tried to find a setting for all of the characters in my story to fit in while still being diverse as fuck, and sea theme just fit everyone, sailor squiddy, tourist squiddy, native somara, pirate dancer aquata, the list goes on, you can do sooo much in this setting

Oooooh, RPG Maker is da duup. Have used it since i was a kid. First i used XP, then 2k, then VX, and finally VX Ace. Though my favourite would be RPG Maker 2000 ; )
