My Dad...
My dad had a talk with me earlier about my job and financial situation. It was long and arduous talk about how I should give up my artwork and focus on something more marketable, like math or programming. Listening to him just filled me with nothing but rage. Then he has the gall to say that if I put my mind to it I can accomplish anything while telling me to give up my artwork. He's such a bastard of a hypocrite. I've always felt he felt that way... and it's not just him, But I'm sure everyone in my family feels the same as him.
Well, I show him, I'll show all of them. But I can't do that alone. I need the help of you guys to realize my dream. I have commissions open, I also do have a patreon, and redbubble account. I need to show him I can make a living as an artist.
Please, I don't want to give up my artwork or my desires. I need your support, whether it's providing advice, spreading the word, or purchasing a commission from me.

Don't quit please, your stuffs so good and it keeps getting better.
Im sure youll get more support, just hang in there.
Don't give up art, but pursue something else as your main income, and do art as your secondary source of income?
What my dad wants is for me to give up art entirely. Cause he doesnt see it as marketable. He is such a hypocrite, he says that if i change majors he support me financially, but never seriosly offered when I was trying to focus on my artwork.
You've obviously put in the effort to get other jobs to support yourself financially multiple times now with past jobs, so I feel like his 'talk' with you is kind of needless too. Either way, I think it would take a lot to convince him or your family. If you don't give up I know you'll be able to do great things with your art.
You can feel free to note me or anything if you need someone to talk to more about this, any time.
