New trailer for Sonic Mania. I swear, SEGA just took everything off my checklist and threw it altogether in this game.
-Solid, fluid gameplay
-mobile/running boss fights
-amazing music
-Animated cutscenes
-Animated cutscenes in the style of Sonic CD's animation (my favorite drawing style of Sonic)
-Animated cutscenes in the style of Sonic CD's animation AND ANIMATED BY TYSON HESSE!!!

I seriously haven't fangasmed like this in a long time, feels good to be excited for Sonic again.

I dunno if I'm going to get the game, but for sure I'm gonna get that music. Can't tell you why, but those beats just make me want to run too!

AAOF, I had to go and dust off some of my old CD's to listen to the old 'Sonic Boom' song from Sonic CD. That THERE was a damn classic.

I for one am totally looking forward to this and Sonic Forces Me To Bring Back All My Old OCs. It's certainly a good year to be a Sonic fan!

They better not screw this up. I've had too many "remember the games you liked when you were a kid?" games that did nothing but copy those games 1:1, got bad reviews for it, and resulted in antinostalgic circlejerkers having celebrations the world over. And I hate antinostalgic circlejerkers as much as, if not worse than, regular nostalgic circlejerkers.

It has the ability to be either very cool, or very cringe-worthy. The problem is Sega is pretty late to the character creator scene; and considering nowadays we have character creators as detailed as Saints Row, Fallout, etc. this means Sega better have hundreds of options or this is gonna be pretty underwhelming.
