A few hours ago,our Irish Water Spaniel Zip passed away.He just turned 10 years old.He died in the kitchen in his sleep thank goodness. As I have with the other dogs we lost,I had to carry his dead body out of the house,into my truck and up tp the vet for cremation. No matter how many times I have done this thankless task,it never get's any easier. *sigh*

At least it was a peaceful passing and you didn't have to make the decision for him. I'm sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.

Thanks everyone. Right now my sis and I are talking about getting either another IWS dog or possibly a cat, since it's been a few years now since we had one. Our other dog Bailey is trying to cope, but he still misses his "buddy".So, we may have to do this soon. Stay tuned!
