Okay this is a very small little mini-rant but it is driving me absolutely bananas. Please... PLEASE read directions. Its very simple and takes like five seconds of your life. I see this non-stop and have experienced it non-stop, so this is literally not directed at just a single person. Whether its a raffle, commission, payment, etc. please read and do what is asked.
In the case of raffles, we the artist like to know you are not just jumping on the freebie bandwagon and throwing a ref at us because you saw the word free. If you actually take the time to read what is requested, that shows volumes. If you are that one dbag who just slaps a ref up and says "ME PLZ KTHX BYE", I am gonna just start hiding your comments.
When it comes to submissions... I literally have on every single submission what I will and will not do. I also have a list of the things I need from you, the commissioner, to make this go as smoothly as heavenly possible. Every time I have to ask people to read the first post, supply a ref, etc. it makes me twitch. In some of these bases there are multiple options and I need to know what you want to serve you the best I am able. Don't just say, "I want one" or "Me please". Additionally if you have an 8 armed tentacle monster with two heads, wings, and dick eyeballs you aren't getting anything done on a base.
Lastly when it comes to payment... I ask people to do the bear minimum. Just put your name in the comment section. Not your personal name, your FA username. This helps me to ensure I am applying the right payment to the right person and completing work for people who have actually paid. Sometimes Paypal might be a dbag and doesn't keep that info. That's fine, I can cope with that. I have literally 4 payments in my paypal right now for $5 and now I have to go ask all the people who have shown interest and claimed to have paid or haven't said they paid and yet I gave them the info to pay just to figure out who actually sent me money. Its a pain in my butt and I dun wanna do it.

Lately i have been asking for ideas on things and people have just been not reading into it and just dumping their ref and leaving... So yeah i get what your going through on the freeb thing...
The few ruin it for the many unfortunately.
