I've seen you bring this up a few times, and I felt the need to comment on it for once. Your expectations sound like the reason it is disappointing you. If you set specific expectations for what you'll get out of a random community... I think you'll always be disappointed. I just enjoy whatever I can get out of it. If I meet new people, rad. If not, whatever, it happens. If people like art I like or get, rad. If not, ok, it happens. I've been on the site for a long time, so maybe I'm just used to it.

But the phrase especially "I want people to want to message me!" sounds along that line of expectations. If you want people to message you, give them a reason to. :3 Be a good friend to others. I know you don't want to have to message people, but that's how you build the friendships where people message back. Reach out, take genuine interest in others. It gives them a much better cause to be interested in you in return. ^^

I can't guarantee I'd be any fun to chat with, to be fair, heh! I'm just an older dragonsqueak dude who's often slow due to IRL involvements. But if you want to, say hey~ Reach out. And when others reach out to you, make sure to greet them warmly, too.

I hope you'll stick around, because there definitely is plenty here if you are careful with looking around. But if not, I wish you luck wherever you go.

To understand me the reason I mention the entire friends is because inbuilt relationships with many of my closest friends on here. But as of recent they have left me and I know they are still there for they message their friends who I see from time to time. I know expectations from a random site is bad but I'm not expecting everyone just those friends who I built bonds with.

I honestly don't know what to tell you, other than ask yourself if you would be happier leaving this site behind and if I am amongst the people you hate, I can't say I blame you
