Why: Fursuit Head Commission
(Note: he changed their facebook name a little while after i took the screens of our facebook convertations but i took a picture of the new name just in case)
To start off my story of what happened, at the begging of November someone was advertising (made a journal on fa) for someone who was new and wanted to start making fursuits. So i looked at their FA business page and there was the journal saying they wanted to start fursuit making. They had no examples since they didn't have the money for making any premades or anything (which should have been a red flag but I didn't think anything of it at the time) So I decided to give them a chance and commissioned them for the cheapest thing they were offering, which was fursuit heads for $450. Which wasnt a bad deal in my mind. So I messaged them and made my down payment to them. They told me they were ordering the supplies and stuff and would start it when it would come in.
By the beginning of December i had my head paid off. They had the fur in but we're waiting for the foam to come in. I was worried since they ordered the foam online instead of buying it from a store but I figured people have their own preferences when it comes to buying stuff.
By January i still kept in contact with them and had general conversation now and they seemed really nice to talk to. By February they said they had to make an emergency move because they were getting kicked out into the streets if they didn't. By mid-February they said they had moved into some place new and would start back up commissions. I did not contact them at that time since they said in their post that they were starting things back up.
Mid-March it wast hen that someone contacted me of FA saying that the maker had scammed me because they had scammed them and a few others. I wasn't sure what to believe. I wanted to say it wasn't true, but i went to the maker and contacted them again asking if anything had been done. They said no since they have been to busy working and that they would try to work on stuff that weekend. So i gave them the weekend. I contacted them on Monday but i had no response so I texted them again a couple days later and asked what was up. I was telling them that if they have nothing to show me i wanted my money back because i was tired of after 4 months they had nothing done or WIPs to show me. They responded saying they were going to refund everyone that commissioned them since they had no time to do any of the commissioned. They said they would refund me and send me the fur so i had it for another maker.
Couple days later i had no respond from them saying they sent the fur, because i told them i wanted it as soon as possible. I went on some of their fa profiles and they were being very rude about everything going on and the makers mate was being very childish and almost crazy. The two are not very professional to say the least.
Around this point i had someone else contact me and say that everything that the maker was telling me was a lie and that I would never see that money or that fur unless i took action. This person has been scammed by them before and didn't realize it till to late so. Plus they said that both of them were still buying art for themselves. So that is more suspicious!
So i files a dispute on paypal and made it into a claim so i made sure I would get my money back.
I filed for only 2 of the 4 at first to get my point across i wanted my money back, but i gave them a couple they still didn't answer to me so i files the last 2 payment.
Be careful of them and don't believe anything they say!
I have gotten all my money back and i am having a new maker for my character.
If you guys want any links please tell me and i will note you them

Im glad to have found a new maker for Yeti as well
I know they quit but that doesn't mean im still not going to put a beware on them
It had me worried for the longest time. So im glad to have it over with and ill never worry again
I learned a lesson from this though: if looking for a suit maker, make sure they have examples
They didn't do this to scam people, they were in a big money crisis and one of them was depressed.
I could write more but I would like to stay neutral in this situation.
But i heard more bad then good from others

FA has a policy about "callout" journals and they very much frown upon them and could get you into trouble.
Just don't want to see you get into trouble for this as it is obviously warranted!!!
Thank you for telling me
Ill just try to fix things around and see if that helps
Geezus.
