Have you ever heard or played games by Level-5? They are well known for the Professor Layton games but they worked on some RPGs before as well, namely the excellent "Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King" and "Ni No Kuni". They make sure a lot of atmosphere and character gets through in a certain franchise's art direction and make the worlds appear vast and diverse.

Imagine a Pokémon game that looks and feels more like the anime, where you can always press a button and have your dudes around to talk with(I'm talking a party of human characters with their own Pokémon each), where you can train your Pokémon in more than just battling, where you can explore a lot of different locations in a far more spread out way than just routes and where catching Pokémon becomes more unique.
I definitely would say it would be a great marriage if they'd develope a game together and get a game that brings Ken Sugimori's character arts more alive with the additional power. *w*

I've played Professor Layton games. They're good.

They are very well done indeed. Some of them made me tear up from the emotional impact. I also loved the clever puzzles, character designs and the animated movie. The upcoming Lady Layton is definitely high on my wanted list.
