Halp, lost yet again...

I have no idea why this happens to me but it sure does happen alot. >.<
But this time its not the laptop, its the external hard-drive: http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/4996/wtffhx.jpg
It does seem to work just fine, it shows that it has about 38g of my stuff, but all it seems to have is that 52m size "file"?
Anyone who could help me ou here? Google has failed me and I really would like to save most of my stuff from it ;_;
