Go fuck yourselves.
Someone else brought this to my attention, but I hadn't noticed it myself because I've been ignoring the furry community outside of my circle of friends for the last couple of years (because I got sick of their endless, pointless drama. Go figure.) But now I'm starting to see it in descriptions on YCHs and in journals elsewhere, and it's fucking stupid.
I'm trans. My sona is the way it is because of who I am. My sona is not a fetish. It's a representation of all parts of who I am, just prettier, more feminine, and more of a raccoon.
Now we have a bunch of artists refusing to draw characters like mine because it might offend.... me? Surely it's not because anti-LGBT assholes thought it would be fun to try to erase trans people online like they've tried to offline.
If you don't want to fetishize trans people, awesome. Don't. But don't try to tell me what I can and can't commission of myself. If you really want to help, how about you write your congressmen about supporting trans rights and opposing anti-trans legislation like the literally dozens of bills and proposals filed just this year alone.

People need to mind their own fucking business rather than be arbitrarily offended for other people. Let those people choose if they wanna be offended, don't choose for them. Jeez, it's like these people don't know how to actually be useful as human beings...good thing you gave them a suggestion ;D

People are concerned about fictional characters erasing or fetishizing a whole community. When in fact the people trying to defend and speak for trans people do more harm to the community then a piece of harmless art
That said, yeah, fuck that. Some people just want to feel fucking sexy. Let them feel fucking sexy.
