This guy is an Inkling. Inklings are a strange bunch. It is hard to say if they are a living creature or not. Inklings used to be people that dyed. And now they manifest from inanimate objects, mainly ink. Opala in particular was a geologist. He and his wife suffered an accident on one of their expeditions and now both of them are "reborn" from their favorite minerals.

Origin of the scars on her chin: Obtained from when she was a cub. Jassari was caught by her mother attempting to push other cubs from the tip of Pride Rock. Upon seeing this her mother hit Jassari in the face with her paw leaving three scars on her chin. Seeing as she was different from the other female cubs, beginning to grow a mane & become large where other females didn't, her pride regarded her as a freak or outcast. Including her parents, the pride decided to banish her as a young cub to keep the rest of the cubs safe from her temper & dive to kill.

I have to live, vicariously, through my Fursonas, now that I am physically disabled, and I'm on medications that make it impossible for me to spend any great length of time, in the sun. I miss being active, so Imara was created to reflect that side of myself, which I can no longer cater to. I still love life, but I have to love it, without actually "living it" the way that I used to.
