Also, invest in a cheap Uninterruptible Power Supply (a UPS), it still runs around $50 (ugh) but protects your system from damage that can be caused by both blackouts and brownouts. Additionally, it will give you between 3 and 15 minutes to save all of your work in the event of a blackout! Although, in the case of power loss, you should Save As rather than Save when you are on battery power in order to avoid potential file corruption.

Remember, a UPS's battery needs to be replaced every 2 to 4 years, so budget accordingly.

Buy a UPS. And save often. I also record what i'm drawing, always, in case the program crashes. I've had to rely on tracing a still from my recording more than a few times.

Thanks :) Yes, an UPS is a great advice. More than losing an hour or two of work, the bigger risk is getting my PC damaged eventually... that would fuck me over really bad.
