I remember not liking it that much when they were initially releasing it to the public, so I kind of forgot about it until just now. This is much nicer!
I use a browser add-on called Stylish, and with that, you can edit/create the CSS for any web site. You can also go on www.userstyles.org and check out other themes people have made -- I typically use dark themes for most web sites because I HATE staring at a bright screen in the dark.
To edit FA's theme, you can just open up Element Inspector, then go to the Style editor tab and open up the CSS. Copy and paste it in a text editor (I use Notepad++ for this) so you have an idea of what FA uses. OOOOR you can Inspect Element on a specific object and check out the rules on that object, then edit in the changes you want in your text editor (Bottom part). I also use this web site to look at CSS refs, it helped me a lot with my Cross theme haha.
It seems overwhelming at first and hard, but once you start tweaking around, you get the hang of it
I had the same predicament, really! I was running on a shitty 1080p blurry, fuzzy tv screen for several years. The colours were awful for art and it was generally unpleasant / straining, so when I heard a friend of mine was selling his 4k monitor for a cheap price I just had to snatch it up. No regrets
I upgraded out of necessity, not for the gimmick of 4k! I just needed literally ANYTHING that was better than my old monitor, so I bought this one off of a friend. It's MUCH MUCH better- I don't have any regrets.
I NEVER KNOW ABOUT THIS JESUS THANK YOU!
It's also worse when people use the tiny subscript font. I HAVE TO ZOOM IN SO MUCH TO READ
[ AND YEAH I KNOW RIGHT?? I used to be one of those people... ]
