Steam.... What Is This Steam You Speak Of.

I kid I know the whole back story on Steam online and at first I didn't never wanted to go on it for many reason first one is I'm more of a guy who like to have hard physical disc games then just file downloads. second reason I had not played with anyone else online since I played Star Raiders for the Atari 400 computer in 81 with my upstairs neighbor using a phone line. and one big reason is I never had the most up to date PC my last one was from 2004. But now that I got an up to date PC for using Bleander and Clip Studio I can also play todays PC games:
CPU: Ryzen 7
GPU: Nvidia 1050 Ti 4GB
RAM: 16 GB Corsair 3400
PSU: EVGA Bronze 600W
OS: Win10 64-bit
HDD: Sandisk SSD 128GB + Seagate Barracuda 3TB 7200 RPM
MOBO: MSI ATX AMD X370
CASE: Zalman ATX Mid-Tower Z3 Plus-W
For anyone wanted to know my profile is: Atariboy - http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/.....1198400660976/
So farm Im still new at this seeing I just played one game today that some one send me as a gift Left For Dead 2 for the first time.
My Wish list is also games I wanted to play again and for the first time on PC: My Wishlist - http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/.....60976/wishlist
But dont think Ill be playing everyday Ill still be too bissy doing commission art and online streaming plus dont ask me anything about steam I still dont know jack on how it works.

It's not only about new games, it also has a back catalogue that you would never see in a store that sells games on physical media. There are games going at least as far back as the 1990s.
Paying full price for a game on Steam means one of two things: "I want to play this today," or "this is so cheap a sale is a moot point." When you find something you want, stick it on your wishlist so that you are notified of sales, (if you only sort-of want it, put it at the bottom and wait for a really good sale).
Make sure you follow the Steam twitter account: It not only announces sales, but most of the time when games have a free weekend, (either 'try it this weekend for free' or even '100% off until Monday').
If you don't care about Steam trading cards and game badges, you can dump your cards on the marketplace, (they will generally net $0.05-$0.25 each depending on game, a bit more if they're a foil card).
Oh, with all that Half-Life: You might want to add Portal and Portal 2 to your list and/or consider them if they are in a bundle. If you get Portal 2, you also get Portal Stories: Mel, (another full game), for free, (but play Portal 2 first, Mel is harder even on the reduced-difficulty 'story' mode, plus it {SPOILER REDACTED}).
