I my case, I have purchased at least 10 nsfw art. I don't get sexual excited about those nsfw commissions, is not my purpose, i just have them for fun, but for me, explicit content is not the most important; right proportions, expression, pasion in the pose and of course my character's essence is what makes a commission PERFECT.

This. Maybe if you are younger and newer to the community its more enticing to fap but honestly you will just end up fapping to things that you don't own more anyway. At this point if i get a porn picture without context it feels more empty.

Fapping. For me, it's really not much different from a regular person buying naughty magazines or porn videos. I do it for the private enjoyment.

I barely buy SFW, most of what I have bought is NSFW, and I have lots of reasons, fapping is one, also we all know sex sells and I besides that I like watching my fursona in such endeavours, it makes me gain more followers and likes, it is in an extent a intelectual asset ^^

Fapping. Mostly fapping. And as long as everything is mostly correct/good, I'm fine with the pic.

When I buy commissions or do art trades, if it's not a gift for someone else, it's to feel like I'm doing something with someone I like, whether it's NSFW or SFW. Most of the art I ask for is either sex, hugs, or hanging out. It kinda makes me feel like the other person or character in the picture is with me. I would draw it myself, but 1) I suck at it, or else more people would come to me for art instead of me just offering it, and 2) because it feels less like I'm doing something with someone else and more like I just wrote my dream down on paper. I don't have people to hang out physically. I live in a conservative area, and all the friends or sex partners I would be able to have are too far away, especially since I'm disabled and failed college, so I don't have any reliable way to make money, even though I'm willing to do commissions for as little as a dollar. And I barely have any friends online, either. The ones I do have, I either can't help or they're usually too busy to just talk with me. It's why I ask if I can make or get art of people's OCs and fursonas. I wanna feel like I can be intimate with others or just be an okay type of person. I don't know if that's a bad thing for me to feel, though, and what people want me to do about it, and stuff.

Its more for fun, see your characters in certain situations, things like that XD

Because I'm an introvert and the only way I can "get some" is through nsfw art :')

I don't fap to NSFW content, at least not my own. I get it because it's an outlet for my own sexual mind and it is a nice way to manage a few social problems. I also like adding to my body type in content and species, plus I appreciate everything artists do for the community and I love being a part of it. Being someone who isn't sexual IRL this is a nice way to express my likes and such x3 plus I love the excitement of artists and watchers when I happen to do something fun to draw or look at

It's like Zakurei said, i would go by the lines of self expression. Other than that, using the imagination to put my character in situations where i couldn't go or wouldn't feel comfortable IRL, so it is a type of turnaround xD

I do it because I like sex, and I think sex can be beautiful, intense, passionate, funny, dirty, anything really.
Plus, I love how open people are on this site about discussing sexuality.

Partially to show off a character(s), partially to tell a story, mostly just for fun. A lot of my characters mean a lot to me so I want to see them having fun!

Seeing a lot of "I like sex/being naughty" responses - so maybe a large part of is because the furry community is super crazy accepting & open about things like that, so it's a place where we can freely indulge and let all of that out! I mean, just look at the classic example of American TV - here's a show where you've got people exploding and limbs being cut off and whatever, but God forbid they show a tiddy

What do we do when we get a chance to indulge in something that we can't do otherwise? We take that chance!

Me, I just like making people feel good. (I write porn!) It's rare that I'll get a NSFW piece that just clicks just right for me to enjoy, but it's damn nice knowing that pretty much no matter what, there are other people out there enjoying it too. :9

For me, I commission almost exclusively NSFW stuff. Most SFW stuff you could simply swap the characters for humans, but with NSFW stuff, there's a lot more to imagine with furries, hence why my interest in furry art is purely NSFW

A fun way to experiment and express my interests, sometimes it my get a little enticing but I don't fap to it at all and prefer nicer art/quality VS the smut-mess level ^^;

Purchasing NSFW art was largely a way to help explore (and somewhat express) myself sexually -- what do I like, what don't I like? Having never been in a relationship at first, that was the closest I could get.

I purchase NSFW much less often nowadays, since I have 'figured myself out' a bit more. Now I prefer to just flesh out characters in various situations to breath more life into them.

I order nsfw art for fapping purposes and curiosity of seeing my sona in sexual situations. When I order nsfw art, proportions and facial expressions are still important to me.

Why, to tease others that like your 'sona, of course.
