Medical update, number two :)

I'm still live! Sorry for not posting sooner.
Be warned, a little gross. I'm sparing you truly gross stuff!
Week two is proving to be harder than week one. The week after surgery I slept, stared at walls, and slept some more. Not that I stayed in bed, but the drugs really left me unable to do anything. I kind of welcomed this, as it meant the pain was low, and I could easily pass time. The biggest issues I had were an extreme lack of appetite, everything tasted HORRIBLE (Even water!), and the constipation is (Still) terrible.
Now that I'm off the big meds, well, the pains are really there. I'm still constipated, even on softeners, and this causes so much bloat and pain I think it's worse than surgery. Not only that, the June allergic ick hit and I've been dealing with all these issues along with being so dizzy and nauseous that I can't even sit up. This is thankfully allergies and not the surgery, so I just have to endure. Today I woke feeling decent, and immediately questioned if I had somehow fallen into the twilight zone.
Now, beyond all the bad things, I am healing well. Had a couple inflamed sites where they opened me, but some simple wound care stopped that dead in its tracks. Goodness knows four surgeries for my husband, and me having to nurse him, has done me well now.
Mostly I'm hurting, feeling bloated, and have a powerful lack of energy.

I'm glad to hear your on the road to recover now. I'm sorry to hear that the allergy ick hit at the same time as healing. Hopefully you'll be up and running again very soon.

I've been very sorry about the allergies too. It's been miserable. Pain on top of vertigo is never fun. I can't really do anything, even now. Poor cat thinks I've come to hate him since I can't even bend over to pet him anymore. :(

Awww, poor kitty and poor you. I know when I'm sick or not well one of the things that always seems to help is having my kitty cuddle me or demand attention.

Yeah, I've cuddled him as much as I can, but for years he has followed me around the house and I'd lavish attention on him. Now I can't bend over and do that. I miss it lots. :( But we can still get lap time at least.
