After doing some google-fu (which you may have done) a claim was made here https://www.reddit.com/r/wacom/comm.....r_cintiq_12wx/ in the comments that an Intuos 3 pen works fine on cintiq 12wx.

note, can't tell if new or used, and also says it was made by a 3rd party manufacturer, though it does list both Intuos 3 and Cintiq 12wx as compatible. Looks like you can reach out to seller through that site.

not ideal but its more options. Alternatively, you can now see if anyone you know has standard Intuos 3 stylus for gift/sale. Might also be worth the effort to call wacom and see if any other pens they currently make are known compatible with the 12wx.
