That's... stupid. Wouldn't they being going by the frequency of reblogs too? I'd think such a bot would have seconds between reblogs, not minutes...

actually there are bots that get triggered by certain words or phrases so they might not always spam hard. Just retweet random stuff all the time.

Regardless, I don't use retweet bots, and it should be clear that my retweeting habits don't follow with particular keywords. Only thing with that is, if they're trying to block me for suspected bot use, how exactly do I prove I'm not using bots to retweet?

That's where making banning automated fails, IMO. If this is true, it just seems incredibly ironic that Twitter used a bot to ban me for suspected bot use. I get that they need to automate some stuff, but it's too easy to get banned for no reason and they make it too hard to correct the issue unless you link a cell phone (which I don't have). As I said above (and as I stated in my appeal) I never received an email about the issue, and attempting to use my landline resulted in a vague "technical issues" error page. It's impersonal - as these things tend to be - but that impersonal nature also means if a human on the appeals side gets involved they'll have a much lesser chance of knowing what the actual issue is, or why the appeal is valid and not an excuse to get out of some other behavior or action.

Oh, and the funny thing: apparently sending the appeal is what triggers them to send the "Oh this is why the account got blocked" email, and it's nothing more than a copy/paste of the page they first send you to when you get blocked.

Random means the retweets don't have a common theme, which mine do (that being furry and bara content), and aggressive means I'm retweeting everything that comes across my dash, which I don't. I don't know where I could be considered to be aggressively OR randomly retweeting anything...
