Monitor Color Correction

My laptop and my PCs monitors' colors do not match.
I understand that no two monitors/tvs show the exact same colors. And that at times you have to correct the color of those screens.
The thing is, i have no idea which one is off, and by how much. Or, more importantly, how to correct them.
The monitor for my PC, the main one i do my coloring with, is a westinghouse 32 inch lcd tv. My laptop is an asus eee pc.
If anyone has any tips on how to correct the colors on these monitors, id greatly apreciate it.
(And example of this, while the purple color for my wings are perfect on my TV/PC monitor, they show more blue on my laptop. Im pretty sure i have the colors correct on my PC because the pictures still look good on anything else i look at the pictures on.)

But now my laptop shows my snake picture, and my no boxers picture in the correct shade. Originaly the snakey picture was a bit on the grey side.
I wouldnt worry to much.
