The rare Journal

Dont only practice your Art,
But force your Way into its Secrets,
for it and Knowledge can
raise Men to the Divine
Ludwig van Beethoven Heyo all!
Since its now already over a year again since the last journal I though maybe I should write one again. So yeah, here it is!
Quite a few things changed in my life but its all in good, regular tracks now. Even found my motivation again to continue to learn the violin. Just this week my teacher gave me a new piece. Its a compendium of Vivaldi - Four Seasons, the 2nd movement of Winter (Largo), Op. 8, RV 297.

And next to that we have the Sonata Quarta by Schmelzer, 1st movement.
Dont know how many knew but my workplace changed from the Armed Forces to the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection. Its much more comfy to work there but also less action and nature. Everything has its ups and downs but I wont be away from the army forever. In november I have a 2 weeks exercise again with the active reserves.
I guess those where the biggest events that I had in the past so feel updated :D

And its going okay with the violin, some few intonation problems still ^^
And, sounds like things are going well.

Most that annoys me are the accidential hitting of 2 strings and some intonation problems :)

A talent might make it easier to learn something, in my opinion everyone can learn everything. Some easier (talented) some harder.

Plus there were many other great violin makers (Amati, Guaneri etc...).
And then the strings, those can make soooo much difference as well. If you have artificial cores, gold or steel ones or even with intestines (natural ones).
So some prefer that sound and some prefer that sound. At least 80% of the violin sound comes from the player, My teacher for example makes my violin sound so wonderful, something I never achieved sofar. Maybe with more practice :D
There is btw not a the Stradivarius. There are still around 680 different Stradivarious violins from the 17th century. In his life he made around 1000 violins.
