In all honesty. What your doing is fine. I'd qualify it as "it earned the watch click"

I like just about any art style provided the artist draws it well, though I have a real soft spot for simple flat drawings. Of the different stuff you've drawn, I really like your flat cartoony style the best, especially the expressions.
