Wow, hard to believe I'm another year older already and this past year was pretty odd. Last year at this time I was working a pretty shitty job in retail making pretty embarrassing level of income. After bumping heads with my then manager at the time I took up a job at Amazon and left my old job. Looking back on that leaving retail to work for amazon delivery was a pretty bad idea. The hours where long and hard and I would be working over 55 hours a week, and it wasn't until a month after I left that I found out that they paid me far less then the average worker and only counted overtime after 50 hours. At the time I was feeling really depressed and had a lot of anxiety which added to the stress of the job. Thankfully I got caught up in an accident that quickly made me make my mind up and leave. I filed for unemployment to bay the bills while a looking for another job. A close friend from high school/college clued me in on a job and after working there for two months I've been really enjoying it. Now if only I can do something about that hour long commute through the city of Boston. A move maybe?

Though there where a lot of good moments though out the year as well, mostly due to in part of  reimaru-kun. Looking back at things I really have to thank him since he was able to distract me from a lot of my grievances at the time I was working for Amazon. He talked me into going to Anime Boston, something that I haven't done in years. It was a lot of fun to rekindle my love of anime, though for the most part it was mainly getting reminded of how much I loved Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball. The best moment for me in that weekend was meeting and talking to Chris Sabat, and talk about Dragon Ball and the characters he played as (Vegeta for the most part).

But I think the main thing Rei managed to get me back into was an old love of Warhammer 40k. Though some sort of black managed he got me to reawaken my old tomb world and get me to march out my legion of Necrons and release them on my friends on the table. Looking back I'm a little surprise how far back I feel into 40k going out to our local (shitty) game store to play. Thankfully we found a new place to play that has some beautiful tables and lovely terrain. After a dozen or so victories with my legion of Necrons and the coming of 8th edition I worked up enough to start a second faction to play is and even though their success rate is pretty bad (0-3) I am really having fun painting them. now if only I can get win to get me to paint them all.

I think before I ramble on anymore I've been looking back at my life the past year and seeing it as a bit of a shake up for the status quo. Getting out of a few dead end jobs and rekindling some old passions and seeing how they change was quite nice. With all that out of the way I would like to thank you all that managed to take a little time to read this mess of a post and I wish you a great day as well. In the mean time I have to make my way back to the store for SIM card for my new phone
