Archie Sonic Comics are Over

Archie has finally announced the cancellation of their Sonic Comic series. While this should surprise noone at this point, considering the cancellations, push-backs, and silence since last year; it's still sad to see it go. Whether you liked it or not, there's no denying it's accomplishments, especially with it being the longest running videogame comic by far.
To be honest, I probably wouldn't be here without it. I was 6 years old when I bought my first comic, Sonic Issue #15. In fact this comic helped me get into Sonic; I had just started playing Sonic 2 not long before. I got hooked on the series and I'd spend most of my time at home drawing my own sonic comics and copying some of the work from other issues. This series and all the artists involved help inspire me to draw, and I'm very grateful to them for that.
SEGA did say this wouldn't be the end of sonic comics, just their ties with Archie. What that means as far as the characters, however, is yet to be seen. Hopefully this won't be the last we'll see of the freedom fighters.

I started getting into the comic before the whole story was retold again.
I do wonder what's going to happen next with them.
And yeah, I liked it when it featured more sensible plots and gave us more than bizarre flipflopping that left the viewers exploding into a frothing rage about "who gets sally" as the most discussed topic.
Not surprising at all
But chances are many other comic companies like IDW can continue the series.
I expected this though... and also have strong feelings on the Sega intentions and where they will go. Won't jynx anything so won't say but I am sure the path they choose will NOT surprise me.
If anything though this is just yet another bump(s) in the road to the world/fandom of Sonic, a road that has prooven to be absolutely full of bumps lolz
None the less we will see what comes of this, I have certain feelings of what will, but can say at least we will always have fan art *^_^*
He just needs a shred of hope to keep himself alive.
