People are or have become just horrible. We've lost so much decency and compassion in society, its just disgusting. I'm sorry this happened, and may your cat rest in peace. ;w;

Unfortunately, some people view animals as beneath them. Not a care in the world in their eyes. It's a majority view as well, because animals and pets aren't seen as members of a family legally, but rather as "property" which is why it's so hard to get a cop convicted when they outright murder someone's pet dog with a wagging tail.

I'm sorry for your loss, I've had that same experience. And I can't get into people in cars without it becoming a whole tirade, but I'll put it this way. I've had people nick me when I had the right of way at a crosswalk, potentially breaking (hasn't happened yet but I worry) my legs or gouging chunks of flesh (thankfully small ones) out of my calf. They don't stop for that either, they don't even look most of the time.

I'm sorry for your loss. Losing your pet is a very hard thin to go through. I was a mess when my dog passed away a few years ago from his stomach twisting. It was a hard month for me. I hope your ok and may your cat rest in peace, my friend.

Poor kitty D: and in a sense it's evil, but...considering the sheer amount of just...feral cats around here, and i'll stop to keep from running one over, but if I do run one over I'm honestly not going to stop and check to see if it has tags, as a good 90% of the time it's a feral cat roaming around. And of that last 10% of cats who have owners maybe 3% of them actually put tags on their cats...at least for my area.

Also considering some of the driver's i've seen...they probably didn't even notice they hit a cat, if anything at all.

Because people think that it is superior to an animal that their life is much more valuable a simple animal, for them it was only one more animal that unfortunately crossed that "people" do not think that animal can have family and sea of humans That They want him as one of his family or his animal family, unfortunately it's the people, I will not tell you that I understand your pain because of all the two different things, but if I could say something similar I miss my dog a lot ivy Like a brother And even I miss it a lot, I regret that you could not say goodbye or find one if your friend, cries, I miss you I will not tell you that you will be well or that you will not do it but I hope that the time can give you some comfort and that you will always miss those little ones Hairy brothers that are part of one's life

My condolence for your loss. As for why people are evil... Truth be told most of humanity is just simply like that, if an animal or individual is someone they do not know or is not close to them, humans will simply not care.

A ton of people simply don't notice before it's too late and assume it's just some stray cat, that's what I imagine anywho. It's horrible what happened, but what happened happene, and unfortunately it won't be the last.
Or just don't care about hitting cats, or maybe they didn't notice at all and assumed it was just some bump on the road.

It's heartbreaking, but that's why cat owners as well as drivers should do their best to take more precaution when having pets that live near busy roads.
