Picturse vs stories
I've been posting stories the past several years interspersed with the occasional picture. View wise, they tend to do poorly. Comment wise, they tend to do worse. Fav wise they do... not great overall.
Posting pictures the past week or three has gotten the same amount of views in less time with more favs and slightly more comments overall.
Stats aren't a fun thing to look at or hear about but it does make me think "Is it worth writing and/or posting stories?"
Lack of response to writing is very demoralizing and/or de-motivating. When stories do get a comment it is often one word or in the effect of "gimme more!" with no mention of the story itself or anything in it.
Been unmotivated the whole year so far. This journal is just me venting. You may safely move on.

The best idea to couple your writing with a picture is of course doing a graphic novel like i am.
Or, Do an ongoing comic, not as much writing as even a graphic novel has, (since you get to talk about things in flashback to parts of the story that are relevant but not to the plot line of that chapter) just remember to not do what a Pro wrestler did in doing vast '300' type scenes and several tons of words.
it was a giant block of text over the picture sometimes drowning out the picture.
You know how people are in reading something you wrote and complaining about a block or wall of text. Readers who hate reading say things like that, the only other people that read you are flamers who want to run someone down.
As a suggestion make Tannim a super hero crime fighter like batman, except using his long sack to take out criminals in odd circumstances! ...he rushes into a phone booth and dons a lone ranger mask, catholic schoolgirl socks, (dragon toes tearing out holes in the socks) and uniform with the short plaid skirt (no underwear) and a alpine hat with a big feather to become ...!
anyway you get the picture.
